A program of Snohomish Conservation District to help horse owners manage their land for the benefit of their horses, their soil and water, and the surrounding environment. Good land management can reduce chances of colic, protect hoof health, and prevent worms and disease. Snohomish Conservation District has farm planners who will visit your farm for free and offer suggestions based on the goals you have for your property. In some cases, the District may even be able to help cover the cost of improvements that not only keep horses healthier, but keep our watersheds healthier too! If you don’t live in Snohomish County or Camano Island, WA, your local conservation district likely has similar services. If you live in Washington state, please visit https://www.scc.wa.gov/conservation-district-map to find your district. Conservation districts are non-regulatory and we provide free, hands-on expertise.
