Northwest Miniature Horse and Shetland Pony Alliance
The NWMHSPA was formed in October of 2014 after a year-long discussion between Washington State Shetland Pony Club and Pacific Crown Shetland Pony & Miniature Horse Club, two long standing, active ASPC/AMHR recognized clubs in Area VIII. We will continue the same goal of promoting small equines enjoyed by all of their members.
During the process of merging, meetings were held that were open to all members of Area VIII to discuss any concerns. The overwhelming response was very positive about these clubs merging, especially considering how tough the current economy is, and members voted to move forward with the merger. And with that, Northwest Miniature Horse & Shetland Pony Alliance (NWMHSPA) was formed. NWMHSPA will continue to maintain the same goals of the previous two clubs, which is the promotion of our Miniature Horses and Shetland Ponies through a variety of venues in the wonderful Area VIII.
