Welcome to the heart of total horse health and community-building in Southern Oregon. Welcome to Massie Equine Equine Veterinary Clinic and Healing Center, a state of the art equine wellness and injury recovery facility.
Our husband-and-wife team, equine veterinarian Dr. Keaton Massie and equine sports massage therapist Andria Massie, bring their shared compassion, complementary skill-sets, and a combined half-century of experience to the community.
We deeply believe in harnessing the power of prevention, so we offer a variety of treatments covering the total wellness and sports medicine needs of horses of all ages and lifestyles.
We are accepting new clients for annual preventative care and also welcome the following referrals from veterinary practices, trainers and farriers.

From regenerative therapies to massage, bodywork, and podiatry, Massie Equine provides treatments and coaching to help injured horses recover faster, with optimal results. Under direct supervision of veterinary staff, our rehabilitation crew implements top tier rehabilitation programs to promote shorter post-surgical recovery, shorter hospital stays and a smoother and quicker return to athletic performance. Our rehabilitation services include:
Ultrasound and Imaging Services: Unique radiograph techniques developed to identify difficult to locate issues and help in diagnosing and monitoring progress during the rehabilitation process.
Motion Detection Gait Analysis: Equinosis software detects the slightest soundness abnormalities and delivers data to guide rehabilitation plans.
Massage Therapy: promotes comfort, circulation and musculoskeletal relief in horses.
Class IV Laser Therapy: promotes tissue repair, reduces pain, and decreases inflammation in horses.
Kinesiology Taping: modulates pain responses and improves circulation in and around injured muscles.
Podiatry: Specialty shoeing can help aid in recovery from a wide array of conditions from orthopedic injury to serious illnesses affecting the hoof, such as laminitis. We offer specialized farrier services on site to ensure that patients are supported in their recovery by advanced shoeing techniques.
Theraplate Therapy: improves circulation in and around injured muscles.
Nutritional Counseling: Our team provides personalized nutritional guidance to support the overall health and recovery of equine patients.
Stretching and Strengthening Programs: We design individualized exercise programs to enhance flexibility, strength, and coordination in horses undergoing rehabilitation.
Customized Rehabilitation Plans: Our veterinarians work closely with trainers and owners to create tailored rehabilitation plans that address specific injuries or conditions.
Environmental Enrichment Programs: We provide environmental enrichment activities to support mental well-being and positive behavioral changes during recovery.
