Oh, where do I even begin with Tonka? He’s quiet, kind, solid, and steady—built like a tank and absolutely gorgeous. He’s the kind of horse the whole family can enjoy, with a quiet confidence that puts even the most timid rider at ease. He has enough handle to make every job enjoyable. I’ve wrangled horses on him, then ridden home bridleless. I’ve jumped on him bareback in a halter to bring him in from pasture after weeks off, and I’ve drug irrigation dams clear across the field without him batting an eye. Tonka is just as happy moseying down the trail as he is putting in a full day’s work on the ranch.
