This clinic is focused on deepening the connection between horse and rider through relationship-based training. These one-on-one or semi-private sessions will be customized to focus on the specific goals, challenges and areas of growth you’d like to work on with your horse.

All disciplines and experience levels are welcome in this supportive, low-pressure environment. Bring your own everyday tack, helmets are encouraged but not required.

About Your Clinician: Kari Ketchledge-Program Director and Instructor of the Evergreen Riding Institute

Kari brings 37 years of experience as a professional horse trainer, equine behaviorist, and horsemanship instructor. She started her first horse training business at the age of fifteen starting Thoroughbred racehorses under saddle. Kari holds a B.S in Equine Science and an M.S in Animal Behavior from Colorado State University, where she studied under Dr. Ann Swinker and Dr. Temple Grandin. Over the past four decades as a professional in the equine industry, Kari has developed a reputation as a skilled and ethical trainer, equine behavior specialist, and holistic horsemanship instructor. She has ridden and studied with internationally leading equestrians and behaviorists. Kari has achieved national level success in a wide range of disciplines, including three-day eventing, dressage, working equitation, endurance and English and western disciplines within breed competitions. Her training emphasis is a consensual relationship-based horse-human partnership. Her teaching emphasizes effective centered riding from a classical dressage foundation applied to all disciplines, and developing multi-disciplinary all-around effective, knowledgeable, and compassionate horsemen and horsewomen.
