Dr. Sarah Humphreys is a large animal internal medicine specialist. She graduated from UC Davis in 2016 and received post-doctoral training at University of Pennsylvania, Oregon State University, and UC Davis. In addition to providing the best possible patient care, she loves teaching and has taught veterinary students at international veterinary schools in the Caribbean and Canada, in addition to providing veterinarian-level continuing education courses. Her favorite species to treat are horses and goats!
Equine metabolic syndrome (EMS) is an extremely common disease of horses with significant consequences. We will discuss factors that lead to development of EMS, how we test for EMS, and what we can do to treat horses that have EMS– hopefully before problems develop!
Students, OHSET and 4H members get discounted ticket prices.
Dinner will be provided.
