Join us for an unforgettable weekend of horses, firearms training, personal safety, and camaraderie at the beautiful Whistlin’ Pine Ranch near Alta Lake, Washington.

Designed specifically for women, the Cowgirl Capable Women’s Retreat combines hands-on firearms instruction, horsemanship experiences, defensive mindset training, and confidence-building workshops in a supportive, non-intimidating environment. Whether you’re brand new to firearms or looking to sharpen your skills, our all-female instructor team provides personalized coaching.

Participants will enjoy:

• Defensive pistol fundamentals and live-fire range training
• Introduction to Rifle and Shotgun
• Situational awareness and personal safety instruction
• Mindset and preparedness discussions focused on awareness, decision-making, and personal responsibility
• Understanding the legal, moral, and emotional considerations surrounding the defensive use of force
• Guided horseback riding through scenic ranch trails
• Campfires, fellowship, and meaningful connections with like-minded women
• Camp Cook prepared meals and unforgettable Cowgirl Capable experiences

Accommodations include our rustic “Cowgirl Cabins” at the lakeside campground, limited RV camping, and tent camping options. Women who bring their own RV, horse trailer with living quarters, camper, or tent receive a $300 retreat discount. Space for RVs and tent camping is limited and available on a first-reserved, first-served basis.

No prior firearms or horse experience is required. Loaner firearms are available for approved participants to train with on the range. Women who already own a firearm are encouraged to bring it and train with the pistol they are most likely to carry or keep for personal protection. To maximize safety and student success, micro and pocket pistols are not permitted. Compact or full-size pistols are required. Ammunition is included for .22 LR and 9mm firearms; participants using other calibers must provide their own ammunition.

*Absolutely no gun handling unless on the range with an instructor!

This all-inclusive retreat is designed to help women build confidence, develop practical skills, and develop the mindset necessary to protect themselves and those they love while enjoying a memorable weekend in a beautiful ranch setting.
