ITHACA, N.Y. – Join us as Dr. Bailey presents a discussion of protocols and therapies used to ensure good timing of breeding and optimize uterine health for the early embryo in order to improve pregnancy rates in mares.
About Dr. Bailey: He was born to an army family and found himself moving every few years growing up. As such, horses and a deep desire to be a veterinarian were the key constants in his life. After experiencing pregnancy loss in his own mare, he developed an interest in this area and has dedicated his career to understanding and furthering the field of breeding management and obstetrics in veterinary medicine. After six years at Claiborne Farm in central Kentucky, he joined the faculty of Cornell, College of Veterinary Medicine with the goal of helping to raise the next generation of veterinarians.
This seminar is part of the Cornell Equine Seminar Series, and will be presented on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom. Please register in advance.
