“Help! My Vet Heard Irregular Heartbeats: What Does that Mean?” Presented by Katharyn Mitchell, BVSc, PhD, Dip ACVIM (LAIM), Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Department of Clinical Sciences

Dr. Mitchell’s presentation will discuss common reasons for horses to have an irregular heart rhythm, otherwise known as an arrhythmia. She will talk about when these arrhythmias should be investigated, safety considerations for horses with arrhythmias, especially during exercise, and what arrhythmia treatments are currently available.
