Join us at CH Equine for a unique two-day educational symposium with Dr. Gerd Heuschmann, an internationally recognized veterinarian, author, horseman, and expert in equine biomechanics.

Dr. Heuschmann has dedicated much of his career to helping riders better understand how training affects the horse’s anatomy, movement, soundness, and long-term well-being.

He is the author of several influential books, including Tug of War—Classical versus “Modern” Dressage, Balancing Act: The Horse in Sport—an Irreconcilable Conflict?, and Collection or Contortion?, as well as the film If Horses Could Speak.

Two Days of Education and Practical Application~
Each morning will begin with an in-depth slide presentation and lecture on equine anatomy and biomechanics.

Dr. Heuschmann will explain how the horse’s body functions during training and help participants develop a better understanding of correct movement, balance, posture, muscular development, and the relationship between training and long-term soundness.
In the afternoon, we will move from theory into the arena.

Dr. Heuschmann will work with horses and riders, allowing auditors to see the principles discussed during the morning lectures applied to real horses in real training situations.
Rather than simply discussing what correct biomechanics should look like, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to recognize it in practice.

Symposium Auditing
Full Weekend Auditing: $225 One Day Auditing: $150

We strongly recommend attending both days of the symposium. The information builds throughout the weekend, and attending the complete symposium provides the best opportunity to understand the material and follow its practical application. One-day auditing is available; however, the full weekend experience is highly recommended. The morning lecture portion of the symposium will be held in the CH Equine loft, followed by afternoon training sessions in the indoor arena.

The Learning Continues:
The two-day symposium will be followed by four additional days of training rides with Dr. Heuschmann at CH Equine. This creates an extraordinary week of education centered around equine biomechanics, correct training, and the development of the horse. The symposium provides the foundation: understanding the anatomy, principles, and theory. The following training days allow those principles to be seen repeatedly in practical application with different horses and riders.
